Set up WatchGuard

Your reward platform uses WatchGuard to confirm you actually watched each video. It runs quietly in the background — nothing for you to do during playback.

1

Install MacroDroid

WatchGuard runs as a macro inside MacroDroid — a free Android automation app. Download it from the Play Store if you don’t have it already.

2

Import the WatchGuard macro

Download the official WatchGuard macro using the button below. Open MacroDroid, tap the + button, choose Import macro, and select the downloaded file.

Grant permissions

MacroDroid needs two permissions to verify your sessions:

Accessibility — lets the macro detect when a video task opens.
Usage data access — lets it verify your engagement with the video.

Go to Settings → Accessibility → MacroDroid and enable it.
Go to Settings → Apps → Special access → Usage data access → MacroDroid and enable it.

Watch videos as normal

That’s it. When you open a task on your reward platform, the macro activates automatically, monitors your playback, and submits the verification at the end. You don’t need to interact with MacroDroid at all.

Your reward is only credited once WatchGuard confirms the watch — which takes less than a second after the video finishes.

🔒
Your privacy is protected.
WatchGuard confirms your engagement with the video and nothing more. It cannot read your messages, browse your files, access your accounts, or observe anything outside the task you’re completing. No personal data is collected or transmitted.
Frequently asked questions
Does this affect my phone’s battery or performance?
No. The macro only activates when you open a task page and runs quietly in the background during playback. It has no measurable impact on battery life or phone performance.
What happens if I skip part of a video?
WatchGuard monitors your engagement continuously throughout playback. Skipping significant portions may affect your session’s confidence score, and whether you receive credit depends on your platform’s settings.
Does it work with Wi-Fi and mobile data?
Yes. WatchGuard works regardless of your connection type.
My reward isn’t being credited. What’s wrong?
Check that Accessibility and Usage stats permissions are both enabled for MacroDroid. If the macro isn’t running, open MacroDroid and ensure the WatchGuard macro is enabled. If the problem persists, contact your reward platform’s support — they can see the session verdict in their dashboard.
Can I run this on multiple devices?
Yes, but each device is identified separately by its hardware fingerprint. Running the same platform account from multiple devices simultaneously may trigger an anomaly flag on the platform side.
What is MacroDroid? Is it safe?
MacroDroid is a well-established Android automation app with over 5 million installs on the Play Store. WatchGuard does not make any modifications to MacroDroid itself — it is simply a macro file that runs inside it.
